I have worked for years with a pinhole camera, it's a lovely little piece of wood with the tiniest of holes, no bigger than, surprise surprise, a pin hole.

No lens, no viewfinder, no way of really knowing what I see but also knowing that the camera will see everything in front of me, so much so I have to be careful of where my tripod sits, or in many cases my own shadow entering the shot.

I started wanting to see how much a photo could be manipulated inside a camera, no photoshop, no digital tricks just me, my camera and a beautiful landscape to embrace.
There is something very special about standing alone in an empty landscape, the colours, the sounds and the smells.

I have made templates that insert into the camera, and then a photo is made, developed at home in a homemade darkroom.
The film is 5x4 sheet film which allows me a canvas to work with, recently i have purchased a 10x8 film pinhole camera which gives me greater flexibility in the templates I make and with multiple exposures I can create unique images unlike any photos I have seen before.
